Today in class we filmed the altering Rick scene which
is about two Robotica employees, Luke and Toni, altering the settings of the
robot without the permission of the CEO Martin Bethan. The two men start by
revealing Rick from a large plastic mattress cover and then proceed to hook him
up to the computer where they altered his settings, Tom who plays the character
Toni tells Luca his adjustments he’s made and warns him that “the processor is
unstable". This scene is then followed by the final dining scene when Rick
attempts to stab Tony at dinner. We filmed three scenes, the first scene we
filmed was a close up of Rick in the bag, the second was the reveal and the
final scene was Toni changing Ricks specifications. When we had filmed the
scene we then imported the videos from the SD card to the Mac that we had
previously been editing on. We then came back the next day to film two
short scenes of Luca who plays the character Luke turning on the light switch
in addition to a short scene of the light flickering. This added effect to the
final edit.
When editing the piece, I found tense background
music off Youtube which I downloaded using a website called “Youtube to Mp3
& Mp4” (Link below).
A good shoot with an effective outcome. Aim to adopt a more analytical rather than descriptive style when giving accounts of shoots: imagine that you are writing more in answer to the TV drama question.
