Film Research
When discussing ideas for our film we decided it would be a
wise idea to research current ACTION and ADVENTURE films, this helped us to gather ideas
for our opening scene. One film in particular was Mission Impossible – Ghost protocol which
was a fourth instalment to the popular Mission Impossible franchise. In this
movie the main protagonist, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise), is blamed for a terrorist
attack on the Kremlin, and his entire agency are disavowed by the U.S.
government, while the president initiates the Ghost Protocol. Ethan and his team
are forced to go "off the grid". Left without resources or backup Hunt
must somehow clear the agency's name and prevent another attack. This film gave
us inspiration for the high-tech equipment being used our opening and also
helped us to form a plot.
